Adding the macro to my Normal.dot template wasn’t an option either - if Normal.dot gets corrupted or deleted, Word will create a new one based on the ‘factory defaults’ - and I would lose all my macros. In addition, some of the documents came from organizations where I had no access to, nor control over, their templates. The documents I was working on used different templates, so adding the macro to each template was not an option. I wouldn’t need the macros for every document, but I would need them for many documents. I needed to make some macros available to all Word documents I opened (NOT attach them, despite the title of this post). I do support several legal staff who need a viable pleading template.(Many thanks to Hamish Blunck for helping me with this tip) Therefore my normal use of applications like Word is usually with the basic features.

The template should be capable of adjusting dynamically to changes in type/font face and point size. The existing template(s) again throws off the line numbering alignment. Subsequently additional text is no longer aligned So when a quotation is included the line numbers do not follow. The current templates all are fixed set with double spacing line numbering. Indenting both right and left margins one indentation. Rules of grammar and writing style require that when including a quotation attributed to another author the quotation should be set apart from the document text by single spacing (vs double spacing) and When needed due to paragraphs quotations.

Most notible deficiency is the inablilty to change the spacing of line numbering Are there other legal pleading templates available for Word 2010? I have tried the four pleading templates available for download.
